2. Profile Link Database (VALID3) and Profiler Web Application
The Profile Link database (VALID3), the next generation of VALID2, was implemented with no interruption of service. Profile Link was loaded on a daily basis from VALID2 until the replacement maintenance application for Profile Link was complete. Profile Link provided: 1. Vastly improved access to information by leveraging the Web and SQL Server technologies. This application consisted of:
2. Vastly improved database design providing:
3. Hardware/Software Environment:
3. VALID2 - Database and maintenance and related applications
These independent systems were:
In addition, ongoing data exchanges are operational with more than 20 organizations, these exchanges range from simple spreadsheet like extracts to more complex bi-directional links. Currently, the VALID 2 system consists of more than 50 related tables, containing more than 50MB of data, including 800 pages of the Channel Partner Solutions Catalog, published on hp.com
4. WINREF (1990-Present)
WINREF (HP's Wins & References Library) has moved to the top 10 most accessed sites on ESP (HP's Electronic Sales Partner intranet site) and is a flexible data model success story. Flexible data model technology for WINREF has successfully incorporated several different Win Reference Libraries with differing data model requirements, all with no down time. In a conventional data model, the database would have needed to be restructured in order to accommodate the new business data requirements.
Aardeus designed the WINREF database and data entry application and has supported the WINREF system since 1990. During this period, WINREF has migrated through 4 successive developments, as data model needs and business requirements changed. Each change required a significant data conversion / cleanup process to move the data into a significantly different data structure. With the last migration to the flexible model architecture the need for progressing to a different data structure ceased because the flexible structure can handle any data modeling requirement.
NETSCAPE COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION (1996 - 1998)
